Asia Creative-Director-at-Large at The Face

A photographer, writer, filmmaker and consultant, Australian-born Margaret Zhang is a multi-hyphenate who's worked with a laundry list of luxury fashion houses from Chanel and Gucci, to Louis Vuitton and Uniqlo. When she's not assisting the Chinese government on how to best develop relationships with luxury brands, she's championing the new generation of creative talents coming out of Asia and Australasia. As our Asia Creative-Director-at-Large, Zhang will be keeping her finger firmly on the pulse ensuring we’re up-to-date on a global scale.

What's a film or book that changed your life?

As well as giving me the most nuanced, illuminating insight into the struggles of Indian families and cast structures in the face of colonialist ideology, Arundhati Roy’s God of Small Things blew open my perspective as a writer on the emotional possibilities of what is not (or cannot be) said. I read it once a year - it kills me every time.

You can only listen to three albums for the rest of your life. What are they?
