DANNI HARRIS, THE 24-YEAR OLD CENTRAL SAINT MARTINS GRADUATE TURNING WOMENSWEAR FERAL

Where are you from and what’s it like?

I’m from a village in Leicestershire called Great Glen. There’s almost no one there. I went to school there, it was kind of like small town vibes. There was no diversity of people or ideas so it’s quite restrictive in terms of the way you think and I think you only realise that when you leave the place and you see how many different types of ideas there are in the world.

Describe your generation…

My generation is obsessed with image and obsessed with social media. Obsessed with people knowing what they’re doing. Not being present. Good things about my generation: we’re quite open minded, accepting, understanding, more aware of things in the world. Probably due to social media and the internet. Less close-minded than our parents and grandparents.

Are you optimistic?

I don’t know. I like to be optimistic. I’m optimistic in terms of helping other people to be positive but I think when it comes to my own life I’m quite pessimistic. But I think that might be everyone.

Finish this sentence: This time next year, I’ll be…?

Living my best life.

LAWRENCE OKOLIE, HACKNEY'S 26-YEAR OLD PEOPLE'S CHAMP

What’s your role in sport?

A motivator. I’d like to say inspirational.

What changes would you like to see in the world in the 2020s?

That people become a bit more fixated on helping others, in terms of creating opportunities so that more people are able to thrive and blossom.

Who do you most want to collaborate with or train with?

I would say a famous musician. If not Drake then maybe Lil Baby.

Who should rule the world in 2020?

Women!

Finish this sentence: The future of sport is…?

In the hands of the younger generation.

CHLOBOCOP IS THE 21-YEAR OLD GLASWEGIAN RAPPER COMING IN RED HOT

Describe yourself:

A bad bitch with big dick energy. A finesser.

Where are you from and what’s it like?

I’m from Glasgow. It’s kind of empty from creatives but there is a small group of us that are shining. We’re the diamonds in the rough of the city.

Did you always want to be a musician?

Nope, no, not at all. When I was younger I wanted to be a marine biologist and then I realised I can’t swim. I was a DJ for a while and then that’s when I realised that’s what I loved doing. When people were dancing to the music I was playing I was like Fuck! This is fucking good.” Then I actually made a song and when people were singing my words that’s when I realised this is the best feeling in the world.

Who should rule the world in 2020?

Oprah. I’m voting for her, Oprah 2020.

@chlobocoppp

What changes would you like to see in the world in the 2020s?

Figuring themselves out.

I want to see people eat less animals.

Who should rule the world in 2020?

No one.

AURORA BULLOCK, THE 28-YEAR-OLD SCOTTISH SKATER FROM THE HIGHLANDS WHO CAN TEACH YOU A FLIP OR TWO

Aurora wears gilet ASAI, trousers Palace, top and jewellery model's own and badges stylist's own

What’s your hometown like?

I grew up in Scotland in the Highlands, very near Balmoral. So not a lot around, mostly trees, heather hills and a few deer.

What do you like about what you do?

It’s creative, it gives me a chance to express myself, set myself goals and achieve stuff. It gives me satisfaction quite a lot.

If you could change anything about your generation, what would it be?

I’m probably a bit of a socialist, so if we could work together or just help each other more I’d be pretty happy with that.

Did you always want to be a skateboarder?

No, not at all. I started skating when I was 25 and very randomly. I had just moved to London, my friends were going skating and I went. From there, I was hooked.

What is the most important thing happening in the world right now?

Climate change. I’m keen for governments to start acting and to have more awareness and an understanding that it is a real thing.

ED CURTIS, THE 27-YEAR-OLD FASHION DESIGNER WHOSE PSYCHEDELIC HATS WOULD MAKE EVEN THE Cheshire Cat BLUSH

Left: Ed wears T-shirt and trousers Ed Curtis and jester hat Costume Studio

Right: T-shirt Ed Curtis, trousers Martine Rose and vintage hat Found & Vision

Where are you from and what is it like?

I’m from a small town called Hereford, but more specifically, a little village outside of Hereford. Basically, I’m a country boy.

What’s it like?

Beautiful. Lots of people go there to pick magic mushrooms.

Have you always wanted to go into design?

I definitely wanted to do fashion from a young age. I went to London College of Fashion and studied womenswear and took a very traditional route to get to the industry. As soon as I finished that, I started working for Katie Hillier and Luella Bartley so that was my first job and I stayed there for five years. I still go back there to do some print freelance stuff. It was just time for me to go and start working on my own stuff.

Who would you like to wear your clothes?

Andrew Logan. I’m obsessed with him. He’s in his seventies now, but he’s just such an inspiring person. He’s led this incredible life, mainly in London, and he epitomises that London energy, he’s lived through so many scenes. I would just love to make something for him.

LYZZA, THE 20-YEAR-OLD DJ-PRODUCER WHO'S GOT THE EXPERIMENTAL SCENE TWO-STEPPING

Where are you from and what’s it like?

I live in London and it’s pretty magical. It’s kind of like an Alice In Wonderland rabbit hole. The same way like in Alice in Wonderland where the rabbit hole is kind of the best thing that ever happened to her, but it was also really weird and fucked up.

Describe your generation…

Very rebellious. We’re done, we’re tired, we don’t want to sit down and just listen to what happened. The future is so desolate in a weird dystopian way.

Did you always want to be a producer?

I’ve always loved music and I remember dancing to my mirror and singing songs but I never thought it was attainable.

Who should rule the world in 2020?

Greta Thunberg.

Finish this sentence: This time next year, I’ll be…?

A better person than I was.

Any last words?

Take it easy, we’re all just trying.

@lyzzalefteye

SHANELLE DYER, THE 18-YEAR-OLD HIGH-FLYING MMA FIGHTER FROM WEST LONDON

Trousers Kiko Kostadinov, top and belts model's own

Where are you from and what is it like?

I’m from Shepherd’s Bush, west London. Where I’m from is not 100 per cent a nice area. I don’t want to live there for the rest of my life – I want to get out.

What do you do and why do you do it?

I’m a Thai boxer and MMA fighter. I started because I was bored, and my dad wanted us off the streets. He’s always trying to find us stuff to do, so he brought us to a boxing gym and I fell in love with it.

What changes would you like to see in the world in 2020?

There needs to be more for youth to do, like youth centres. Youth are being left to do whatever they want and then they’re blamed when they do wrong.

What are your personal and professional goals in 2020?

I’m going to Thailand for the whole of 2020 by myself. I’ve never been to Thailand as well. I’ll be training, fighting and experiencing to better myself.

Finish the sentence: The future of sport is…?

Me!
