Lacoste are going back to their roots

The classic French brand has raided their archive to launch a streamlined, exclusive new collection.

Legendary tennis player René Lacoste was nicknamed The Crocodile” due to his tenacity on the court. He took this snappy vision and persistence forward, translating it to functional footwear that has stood the test of time for nearly one hundred years.

Paying homage to Lacoste and his sporting elegance, the brand has dug deep into their archive to release the Heritage Pack.

The capsule consists of three shapes: The René, the G80 and the V‑Ultra, all takes on Lacoste’s finest. The René pays tribute to the first tennis shoe created 1963 – as one of the brand’s seminal designs (and the simplest of the bunch), this one is for sneaker purists.

It is duly followed by the G80: an eighties staple. Designed for professional tennis players, its sole has been adapted to ensure a grip so tight you could walk up El Capitan, no questions asked. The V‑Ultra is the ultimate Y2K throwback.

The Heritage Pack will launch online and at streetwear retailer HANON on 7th Feb. Prices range from £65-£115.
