Director & Founder of Guts Gallery
Ellie Pennick is the director and founder of London’s Guts Gallery, a space that champions emerging artists and helps them gain exposure whilst retaining their agency. Having set up the gallery after losing her place at a reputable London university due to her financial circumstances, Pennick is hell-bent on promoting a fair art world business model, while eradicating the elitism and exploitation that’s all to often faced by minority and working-class artists in the industry. Guts Gallery continues to go from strength to strength, showcasing works from the likes of Corbin Shaw, Trackie Mcleod and fellow New Guarder Alfie Kungu, and assisting the establishment of positive, productive relationships between artists and collectors. Because we all know it’s needed.
