We sat down with the much-loved New York musician just before he hit the stage at THE FACE’s New Noise show.
This week, we threw the first event of our New Noise series in London, and we had the pleasure of hosting a live performance by Blaketheman1000. Alongside releasing his own eccentric, unique-sounding music, he also manages the post-hyperpop duo Frost Children, and is at the heart of the so-called Dimes Square scene.
A couple of hours before show time, Blake joined us at Spotify Studios to educate us on what’s really going on with New York music. We also found time to discuss the ruthless nature of NYC’s rats, the beauty of the Barbican, the lore of Freshers Week and his special connection to British wildlife.
