If you spend a lot of time in London and you’re deep into music, fashion or both, there’s a high chance you’ve found yourself out late on a school night at The Standard in Kings Cross this year.

In 2022 – the first year of undisturbed partying since 2019 – it seemed like there was an event every week at The Standard that everyone was talking about, either at the hotel’s Decimo or Sweeties venues, or even the conference rooms, which were transformed into a “boardroom rave” with subversive artists like Mowalola, Babymorroco and Two Shell. Parties were thrown with the likes of FKA twigs, Isamaya Ffrench, Megan Thee Stallion, Adonis, Shygirl, NTS, Wizkid and Amelia Dimoldenberg, and the music has always been on point.
