Bree Runway talks us through her nail art journey
Mani Minutes: The pop powerhouse steps into the salon for a chat and a fresh set, for the first episode of our new video series.
Bree Runway is in the midst of just-dropped-another-banger mayhem when she enters Queen’s Peckham, South London’s go-to spot for It Girls in need of a fresh manicure or blowout. Having just released her latest single Be The One, a breezy, lovelorn collab with Khalid, Runway’s juggling all the exciting stuff that comes with being one of the UK’s most dynamic, versatile pop stars – shoots, radio appearances, that kind of thing.
Naturally, she looks the part, too, wearing a Jean Paul Gaultier dress and Chanel earrings, with blue and green hair down to her waist. But there’s one thing missing. Usually the type to have immaculate nails – from the super-charged blue talons on her 2000AND4EVA album cover to the slime green set she wore for the Be The One music video – today Runway’s nails are looking, well, uncharacteristically short.
Luckily April Arabella, founder of Cherry Bomb Nails, is on hand to fix that, sitting down with Runway to provide a fresh set and have a good old chitchat for THE FACE’s new video series, Mani Minutes. Covering everything from writing songs with Khalid to Runway’s pre-show beauty rituals, watch the full video here.
