The Standard Ibiza returns for a red-hot summer holiday

Each year since opening its doors in 2022, The Standard Ibiza – or the sexiest hotel in Europe, as we like to call it – has ushered in the beginning of summer with the opening of its decadent rooftop bar, UP.
Set against the picturesque backdrop of Ibiza Old Town, punters come here to soak up some sunshine, enjoy a balmy evening or recover from a serious hangover. Don’t worry, though: excellent vibes, carefully-curated music, tasty Latin/Japanese fusion snacks and free-flowing champagne should help with that.
To mark the return of UP – and its slick new look – The Standard Ibiza enlisted the respected musician and NTS resident Nabihah Iqbal for an intimate show last week, performing tunes from her soothing 2023 album Dreamer.
“I’ve been walking around the town, relaxing,” she told THE FACE ahead of the show. “The live set is a special duo show with one of my bandmates. Normally, it’s four of us, but I thought that was a bit OTT for the occasion.
“Having the Old Town of Ibiza in the backdrop, it’s a really beautiful setting,” she continues. “Later, I’ll be playing a DJ set that’ll get people dancing. The food here is unbelievable, as is the hotel. Everyone is so friendly and accommodating. I wish every gig could be like this!”
