Best club night
Recess… ha! The music ranges widely, from popular genres to more cutting-edge electronic sounds. But Recess is all about the people, and the people bring the vibe. You might spot someone in sneakers, then walk into room two and see someone in heels. It’s just how it is. Jojo and I founded the party in 2016. We started in Shoreditch, but quickly moved it to Tottenham, where we really made a name for ourselves. RIP Styx, the legendary theatre-turned-club that gave us a home and space to grow. They shut down in 2019, and now there’s an empty new block of flats there. That’s London in a nutshell for you.
DJs to look out for on flyers

Chy Cartier, Chy Cartier and Chy Cartier.
Legendary artists you need to have listened to

Nightlife photographer you want to be snapped by:
Icl Jojo Sonubi. He doesn’t take photos of me and is one of the best photographers I know!
Best boozer
Not really a pub guy so I asked a mate and he said The Auld Shillelagh in Stoke Newington.
Bar which serves past midnight
Bongo Bar on Broad Lane, Tottenham.
Shop to get records for your DJ set
Zen Records on Broad Lane. It has such a personal collection from the owner and it offers a glimpse of his taste. It’s a small record shop, but the best in London.

The Deli Co on Broad Lane. Best cafe in Tottenham, fresh food.
Coolest local radio station
