Here’s what went down at THE FACE and The Standard London’s birthday party

We teamed up with the much-loved hotel to cut cake, rave on the rooftop and – of course – screen the England game.

After initially running from 1980 – 2004, THE FACE was relaunched in 2019 for a new generation. That same year, The Standard London opened its doors. The hotel has done a fine job of hosting FOMO-inducing events over the last five years. And so it made perfect sense for us to throw a massive party together.

We kicked things off by sipping Ciroc Vodka cocktails on The Standard’s iconic rooftop, which hosted DJ sets from Mya Mehmi, Angela Steps & OK Williams and Lil C plus a live performance from BXKS. As the sun gently went down, the footy fans in attendance watched England’s victorious match against Serbia in Sweeties while the rest of us got the party started in the stunning Decimo venue, where Emma Korantema and Jordss DJed under a canopy of silver balloons, with a Hennessy bar in the Lounge, Veuve Clicquot toast and a bustling Don Julio bar in the pit.

After a rather impressive Lily Vanilli cake was cut by our host Miss Jason, the legend that is Moodymann completed the night with a soul-stirring set of house and amapiano. In true FACE style, all our nearest and dearest pulled up and The Standard’s red pill lift saw the likes of Sherelle, Zeze Millz, Mabel, A$AP Nast, Eliza Rose and John Glacier all passing through its doors.

If the Hennessy margaritas and Honey Highballs had you arriving late to work this morning, here are some photos to remind you that it was all worth it.
