Loads of cool stuff happened in music this year. Addison proved she’s a proper pop star and Geese proved they’re the world’s hottest rock band. Carti finally dropped and fakemink blew up (must be THE FACE effect). Erika de Casier, Fine, Elias Rønnenfelt and Snuggle extended Copenhagen’s golden era and honourary scene members Smerz released their best album to date. FKA twigs went rave, Rosalía went classical and Bieber went lo-fi. EsDeeKid put scouse rap on the map and PinkPantheress recruited a tap-dancing DJ.
So to see off the year, we’ve compiled five hours’ worth of quality music from 2025. One day, you might be telling your grandkids about some of this stuff.
