We asked well-dressed Londoners what they were buying
High street cred: On a sunny-ish afternoon, Soho’s fashion-forward shoppers told us about their buying habits – and we had a good look at their killer outfits, too.

Over at THE FACE HQ in central London, we pass well-turned out youngsters everyday. Putting our outfits – typically picked up off the bedroom floor – to shame, we’re often rubbing shoulders with some of the loudest, proudest get-ups parading the streets, congregating in corners and spilling out of Gen Z hang-outs such as the Heaven shop on Brewer Street, Good News on Berwick Street and holy mecca Dover Street Market just around the corner. Forget the runways, these lot are turning up everyday.
Now, it might be getting nippy outside, but that didn’t stop Will Wright – the splendid photographer behind street style zine Street Flash and that traffic-stopping “before and after” campaign from Bleach London x Heaven – from spending hours traipsing up and down the high streets to to ask the fashion conscious about their buying habits.
Honestly, we’re dying to know… What was the last thing you bought?
