The day-time party favoured by young British Asians first emerged in 1980s Britain. Last Sunday it made a comeback, in aid of the Covid-19 crisis in India. Meet the guests!

Photographer Vivek Vadoliya has rallied together a cohort of celebrated photographers, selling their prints to raise urgent funds to support Mission Oxygen India.

The series depicts the country’s customs as palatable for a Western audience, but Indians from different countries explain how the reality is much different.
