Rated by The Face: a weekly playlist

Cathartic dance pop from Gaga and Grande, loved-up ambience from Arca and dubby road rap from Pa Salieu.

We’re in a crisis, but great music keeps coming out.

To keep up with it all, check out this playlist which we lovingly update every week. Read about last week’s additions here.

Lady Gaga – Rain On Me ft. Ariana Grande

A cathartic celebration of tears” from two pop titans. We wish you luck in your citizenship application for the United States of Chromatica.

The 1975 – What Should I Say

One of the synth-driven tracks from the 75’s new album, which The Face contributor Jeremy Gordon reckons is like a melted version of Justin Bieber’s What Do You Mean?

India Jordan – I’m Waiting (Just 4 You)

There’s a lot of chat about India Jordan’s feel-good EP For You, and the hype is justified. You might not get to hear this in a club this summer, but it’ll still sound glorious from a little speaker at socially-distanced park gathering.

Arca – Time

One of Arca’s trademarks is intense and unruly drums, but she enjoys a little breather on this beautiful single – which is accompanied by a video in which she pulls a sexy demon. Love is in the air!

Pa Salieu – Betty

The Coventry rapper blew up at the start of 2020 with his tune Frontline. This deep, dubby new track proves he’s no fluke. If he can maintain this quality for the mixtape, it’ll be a classic.
