We’re in a crisis, but great music keeps coming out.
To keep up with it all, check out this playlist which we lovingly update every week.
Playboi Carti – @ Meh
Playboi Carti’s hardcore fans have an insatiable thirst for new material, to the point that his release plans keep getting messed up because his songs are always leaking. @ Meh is the first single he’s managed to release officially since 2018, and it sounds beautiful.
Chucky73 & Fetti031 – Tili ft. Dglo73 & Youngkilla73
Sie7etre3 are a crew of Dominican-born, Bronx-based artists whose sound has been described as urbano and Latin trap. With their steely-eyed street lyricism, they’re now credited for adding fresh energy to New York’s drill wave.
Rina Sawayama – Bad Friend
Ever scrolled through old photos from your wilder years, realised you haven’t seen those people in ages and then felt like a bit of a shit mate? This is your anthem.
Fiona Apple – Cosmonauts
Fiona Apple first started writing Cosmonauts when she was briefed to make a song about life-long romance for Judd Apatow’s 2012 film This is 40. But she just wasn’t feeling it, and she ended up using a different song for the soundtrack. Now, Cosmonauts shrugs in the face of monogamy. “I did have hope when I was writing that song,” she’s said. “And honestly, there’s absolutely hope that I could find a relationship. But I don’t really want to. I really just don’t want to. I like my life how it is, and I don’t feel very romantic these days.”
Westside Gunn – 327 ft. Joey Bada$$, Billie Essco & Tyler, the Creator
The Griselda rapper slips into this luxurious instrumental like it’s a silk Versace gown. Read all about his new album Pray for Paris here.
