Rated by The Face: a weekly playlist

Featuring slick summer funk from Pink Sweat$, a lockdown love song by Koffee and a synthpop tearjerker from Troye Sivan.

We’re in a crisis, but great music keeps coming out.

To keep up with it all, check out this playlist which we lovingly update every week.

Pink Sweat$ – Icy

A slick slice of funk from the Philly singer/producer. As refreshing as pressing a cold canned drink to your forehead on a hot summer day.

Troye Sivan – Easy

The Aussie pop star’s back with a breakup anthem, and it’s an absolute heart-wrencher.

Beabadoobee – Care

It was the 25th anniversary of Clueless the other day. Coincidentally, last week Beabadoobee released Care – an obsessed-with-the-’90s indie-pop single which could slip seamlessly into the film’s soundtrack, blaring out as Cher and Dionne cruise through Beverly Hills in daddy’s convertible.

Koffee – Lockdown

After blowing up in 2019 with massive tunes like Toast and Rapture, the Jamaican singer is back with a single about love in lockdown.

Dutchavelli – Black

Dutchavelli’s been enjoying a fast upward trajectory in the UK rap scene, kicking off the year with the viral hit Only if You Knew and entering the top 10 of the Singles Chart alongside Tion Wayne and Stormzy with I Dunno. Black blends his hard-as-nails approach to drill with elements of grime for extra heft.
