The incubator for fashion’s most exciting names

Today marks the re-launch of Browns Focus, the boutique’s brand spanking new home for forward-facing designers, such as Conner Ives, Maximilian Davis, Commission and Mariah Esa.

Today, the iconic luxury fashion boutique Browns will re-launch Browns Focus, an initiative that supports and empowers fresh design talent from around the world. Staying true to the brand’s legacy of fostering innovation and creativity, Browns will launch Series One of the programme via digital experiences and exclusive capsule collections, produced in collaboration with nine of the most exciting names in fashion.

These include rising New York label Commission, LVMH Prize finalists Conner Ives and Bianca Saunders, Fashion East alum Maximilian Davis, and upcycling whizz Mariah Esa, as well as menswear wunderkinds Labrum, Lueder, Saul Nash and TSAU.

Through Browns Focus, this healthy mix of better-known names and emerging talent will shine a light on their communities, zeroing in on what drives them to become the very best in their fields. As their individual visions flourish and grow, they’ll effectively set the tone for what fashion can and should be: sustainable, diverse, authentic, and always boundary-breaking.

For instance, Mariah Esa’s collection is made entirely from reclaimed fabric and wastage garment labels that would otherwise have been burnt or thrown into landfill. Maximilian Davis, who only launched his namesake brand eight months ago, has created a capsule that portrays an essence of sex, elegance and freedom, embodying forward-facing fashion. Working with Browns has been an amazing opportunity and a dream,” he says.

Meanwhile, Ives took inspiration from 90s and Y2K mail-order catalogues. I am so humbled to have such a close relationship with one of my favourite retail spaces in London,” he says. Here’s to Browns – and here’s to the future!”
