Emma Corrin rings in the festive season early with Miu Miu

Fashion news of the week: Plus, Charli xcx hops aboard the Converse wagon, Cecilie Bahnsen x Asics heads to Dover Street Market, Stone Island Sound makes some noise and Supriya Lele joins forces with Bentley (again).

The festivities just got real. Now an integral part of the Miu Miu family, in the brand’s latest campaign Emma Corrin is the (literal) star on top of a Christmas tree. The pièce de résistance, the icing on the cake. You get the gist. Emma and Miu Miu have been locked in for four years, yet the surprises keep on coming.

Underneath a warming glow, photographed by Lengua, the actor looks as though butter wouldn’t melt. Sporting a variety of ensembles with twinkling adornments, they pose against a bunch of paisley sofas – and atop one grand piano – in contrasting Miu Miu looks, from a collegiate bomber jacket with knitted sleeves to an inky floral applique on a relaxed tailored skirt suit.

And, of course, various delectable Miu Miu bags are on offer, ranging from ones small enough to fit your keys (and maybe, a lippie) to a suede, laptop-sized satchel. Have a gander at the AW24 collection now and get a load of these pieces that’ll undoubtedly zip right to the top of your Christmas wish list.

It’s another touchdown for Cecilie Bahnsen and Asics

Both brands took the adage go hard or go home” seriously with their brand new partnership, which is further testament that they’re the ultimate duo when it comes to footwear.

When floral-laden Asics in muddy brown and black were sent bounding down the AW24 runway back in February, they were the topic of much discussion as editors filed out of the show. When we weren’t lusting after Cecilie’s voluminous metallic dresses, laser-cut trenches and delicate, wispy dresses, it was hard not to turn our attention to the matching, flower-laden Asics. Well, today is the day you can finally get your hands on a pair as London’s Dover Street Market is stocking both colourways, including a (not so secret) scarlet pair that are fast becoming a fashion favourite.

If it’s too much of a bop to head down to the Haymarket branch of DSM, flex those fingertips over on the website.

Supriya Lele cooks up a bespoke colour with Bentley

It would be remiss to think of Supriya Lele as just a fashion designer. She has proven umpteen times that she has plenty of ideas up her sleeve and relishes taking on a challenge: Supriya co-owns a gallery in South London and this new collab is her second link-up with the car company – she used Bentley leather off-cuts as part of her return to the London Fashion Week calendar last autumn.

What have they cooked up now, you ask? Supriya has designed a first-of-its-kind colour, would you believe: Nīla Blue (which in Sanskrit means sapphire”) is exclusive to the Bentayga S model, created by Bentley’s Mulliner studio. The alluring blue shade and name nod to her Indian heritage while remaining loyal to the Bentley blueprint – pun intended.

Stone Island Sound is here to soundtrack your Halloween weekend

The Stone Island community is nothing short of dedicated. What happens when you enlist a cohort of close-knit family and community members to contribute towards a music project? Stone Island Sound, it seems. The project will break new ground and see pioneers across music – A.G. Cook, Billy Woods, Gabber Eleganza and John Glacier, to name a few – get together to curate special playlists and throw live mixes together. All of this will coincide with this weekend’s C2C festival, taking place in Turin from 31st October until 3rd November. If you want to tune in to Stone Island Sound and a flight to northern Italy doesn’t fit in with your schedule this weekend, Apple Music has you sorted.

Trashy Clothing and Barragán link up for a thought-provoking collab

A meeting of three inimitable minds is the best way to describe the union between Barragán and Trashy Clothing. The latter brand, based in Palestine and founded by designers Omar Braika and Shukri Lawrence, has made a name for itself by creating kitsch RTW pieces that poke fun at the world via political satire, while also commemorating queer and Arab culture. Meanwhile, Barragán founder Victor Barragán has been in the fashion game for some time. Having launched the brand in 2010, Victor is adamant about paying homage to his Mexican heritage. The two coming together is nothing short of epic. Titled Arsenal of Democracy, the provocative six-piece winter collection includes designs that depict wartime propaganda and the insidiousness of the media in the form of blood-splattered skirts, an American flag skirt and tattered dresses. Whew!

Take your pick over on the Trashy Clothing site.

Marc Jacobs puts its stamp on The Wizard of Oz

Two clicks of your heels in Marc Jacobs’ rhinestone ruby Kiki platforms will make you the envy of all fashion fanatics (speaking from experience).

We’re yet to see the ongoing Jacobs 40th anniversary celebrations cease – the latest Denim Tears collab tote bag sold out overnight – and there’s no time like the present to breathe some new life into the classic film The Wizard of Oz, which is celebrating its 85th anniversary this year. The result? Alongside the bejewelled, vertiginous Kikis are some tote bags that’ll help you out should you ever find yourself, er, struggling with the Wizard of Oz category at a pub quiz: Not in Kansas” denim totes and Emerald City” bags are highlights. There are even beloved characters – Dorothy, of course – immortalised onto hoodies. Sadly, there aren’t any surprise cameos from a certain Miss Grande or Erivo, the stars of the upcoming Oz prequel Wicked, but you can celebrate the collaboration outside of your phone screen, courtesy of a three-week immersive pop-up inside Oxford Street’s Selfridges.

Life’s a Peach(y Den) for adidas

Peachy Den have been releasing dizzyingly good stuff lately – not least an ace campaign starring Olivia O’Neill for their A/W collection, and now, a short film starring the likes of Sugababe Mutya Buena, Beabadoobee, Ceechynaa, George Riley and FACE pal Ghadir Mustafa.

What’s the occasion, you ask? Peachy’s brand new capsule collaboration with adidas, which includes a super, super limited range of bits, such as Taekwondo and Japan H footwear and reworked adidas garments with a feminine edge. If you want any of these goodies, you’ll have to get yourself down to the adidas flagship store in London.

adidas was always the brand I dreamt of collaborating with,” said Isabella Weatherby, the brand’s founder. It was surreal working on such a multifaceted project; a shoe customisation, upcycling and breathing new life into pre-loved and, now, one-of-a-kind adidas pieces.” See you at the till…

Ganni x Barbour unleash another mega collection

If something isn’t broken, don’t fix it… make it better. Okay, that isn’t actually the maxim, but it’s totally applicable here. Ganni and Barbour’s long-standing relationship has resulted in viral Barbour coats and accessories that have seen us through bitterly cold winters twice now, and so three times is, indeed, the sweet spot. As with each collaboration between the duo thus far, Ganni’s creative director Ditte Reffstrup began by coming through the Barbour archive. Alongside Nicola Brown, who heads up the women’s division, they rustled up a collection utilising the ubiquitous and timeless leopard print, giving it an extra bit of edge – plus corduroy collars that catapult these outerwear pieces into the present. Trench coats have been reimagined and include eyelets and functional detailing. And for those who are in the business of shopping for autumnal hero accessories, tote bags and checked scarves are up for grabs, too.

Ganni x Barbour is available to buy now.

Charli xcx and Converse work it out in the winter campaign

Charli is continuing on her path of world domination – this time, with Converse by her side. Sure, she might be fronting Skims campaigns and coordinating in full-look Saint Laurent get-ups with Lorde, but at the end of the day, she’s just a girl from Essex who loves her Chucks. I wear my Chucks so much they have holes in them, so I was really excited to work with Converse so I could get a new pair. They’re iconic,” Charli said of the latest campaign. It’s all come full circle or, rather, 360.

Shot by Sharna Osborne (the mastermind behind The FACE’s Chappell Roan cover story), in the campaign Charli’s surrounded by – and wearing – a pristine pair of All-Stars. Officially a full-fledged member of the Converse clan, she joins a fleet of celebs who’ve worked with the brand, from Tyler, the Creator to Billie Eilish and Rick Owens.

Tekla and Auralee get into bed together

Homeware lovers, rejoice! Tokyo-based brand Auralee and Tekla have joined forces on a special collection inspired by a shared appreciation for bathing culture. At its heart, this collab is all about bridging the gap between Scandinavian and Japanese wellness and design practices. There are gorgeous, cosy down jackets, robes, socks, beanies and towels up for grabs – perfect for slipping into after a trip to the onsen, the hot springs, or, in our case, a nice warm bath.

Renowned for its unabashed celebration of the queer community, celebration of sexuality and disruptive garments, Eric has built itself a loyal band of followers eager for the next drop. Luckily for you, we come bearing great news. Eric’s newest collaboration with SLJ (Sweet Lime Juice), introduces a downright sexy new line packed with devil-horned vests and trucker caps, and vinyl trousers with exposed zips. There’s also a silk bodysuit and organza shirts if you subscribe to a less-is-more approach in your wardrobe.

Rick Owens x Moncler

Rick Owens always has something up his sleeve. Coincidentally, so does Moncler, a brand that seemingly does not rest when it comes to impressive collabs (last week was all about the City of Genius event in Shanghai, for which Rick designed special sleeping bag coats).

In a continuation of the pair’s creative partnership, then, Moncler x Rick Owens have only gone and dreamed up an actual demountable mountain refuse – inspired by prolific architect Charlotte Perriand’s design of Michèle Lamy’s family home in the French Alps, no less.

Dreaming up personal environments” to accompany his fashion work is very much in Rick’s wheelhouse – previously, he helped design a customised tour bus and isolation tank sleeping chamber. This refuge is all about using advanced technology to ensure off-grid functionality, durability and efficiency.

Obviously, the whole thing is sustainably powered, and the interior is lined with Moncler duvet nylon – cosy. How much to stay the night?
