Stars, faces and Mura Masa: Here’s how we toasted LFW SS25
The launch of our autumn issue handily coincided with the Saturday of London Fashion Week – so we teamed up with pimple-patch OG, Starface, to party in style. Here’s the low-down.

London Fashion Week. The Groucho Club. Six words that are enough to tell you a good time has been had. The reason for all this mirth? The coincidental arrival of our latest issue, which features Madeline Argy dotted with Starface pimple patches on the cover. And, most importantly, London Fashion Week. You can never have too many excuses for a party, can you?
The venue choice was a no-brainer: Soho’s Groucho Club. Here, guests sipped on Smirnoff and Don Julio margaritas, while Welsh DJ-cum-producer, Kelly Lee Owens, got the crowd stomping with a set of Chicago house and glossy pop edits. In the adjacent rooms, a photobooth waited for guests to grab some all important snaps, while stacks of THE FACE were provided for a sneak peek of our new issue.
In the back of the Groucho’s storied annexes, some of the most important faces in culture took a breather after a day of shows. (We say, “breather”, but it mostly involved necking tequila shots and sprawling on the club’s velvet couches.)
Starface were giving away goodie bags, sharing their signature star patches (fashion statements in and of themselves), as well as the all-new Star Balm – a hydrating lip-smacker.
Back in the main room, Mura Masa provided the energy for a packed dance floor, and Olly Shinder was seen weaving through the crowd, no doubt celebrating his innovative SS25 show from Friday’s Fashion East collections. Tucked away in an intimate corner, cover star Madeline Argy laughed with friends in an all black fit and a pair of pointy heels, while fellow starfaces Amelia Dimoldenberg and Mahalia shone in sequins and diamantés.
Need more proof of the vibe? We caught model FACE fav Deba Hekmat, as well as photographer Wolfgang Tillmans, Palace designer Gabriel Pluckrose, and musicians Harmony, Niko B, Headie One and AJ Tracey soaking up the fun. “I haven’t been out in a minute,” AJ said. “I just landed back from Korea like two days ago but I’m ready to turn up!”
As cabs were called and afterparty whispers were exchanged, guests clutched their yellow Starface bags, prepared for the next day’s shows. Well, those who made it anyway…
