Listen to Tommy Gold’s laidback Face Mix
The Bone Soda DJ has blended some tunes to soundtrack your drive home.
Tommy Gold’s got his finger on the pulse. The West Londoner is part of the Bone Soda crew – known for their revered club nights, label, creative studio and an NTS show – and he’s a trusted source of new music worth paying attention to.
Post-lockdown nightlife seems to be treating Tommy Gold well. Scroll through his Instagram and you’ll see him recently DJing b2b with NUKG figurehead Conducta in Paris and warming up for PinkPantheress on her London mini-tour. This year, Bone Soda’s activity, meanwhile, has included a party with Joy Orbison, co-curating a Fabric takeover with Keep Hush, presenting an exhibition with Olaolu Slawn and hosting the late, great Virgil Abloh for a sold-out night at Electric Brixton.
On his Face Mix, Tommy Gold casually floats between genres, dropping tracks by Toronto’s poet-turned-musician Mustafa, Tennessee rapper BBYMUTHA, UK bass experimentalist LCY and some throwback Frank Ocean. Listen to the mix and check out a Q&A below.
