While we’ve spun the same t‑shirt two days in a row hoping it doesn’t smell of last night’s takeaway, the Big Names in Fashion have got Mugler, Galliano and Balenciaga wrapped about their manicured fingers. Don’t be too sad, you’ll be rich and famous one day, too.
So, what have they been wearing? Last weekend, the coolest woman in the world, Chloë Sevigny, threw the coolest wedding in the world. Dressed in Jean Paul Gaultier couture, she popped up some grainy VHS footage on the ‘gram of the newlyweds driving off into heaven in a rooftop, with an old school “Just Married” sign hanging off the back. It looked like it was sliced straight outta one of Sevigny’s many indie flicks. A lesson to all on how to make even your wedding a sickly subversive affair.
In other news, Spanish superstar Rosalía was made the new face of Skims and model Paloma Elsseser launched her collaboration with Miaou, launching a size-inclusive range of patchwork skirts, printed corsets, bikinis and cargos. Big win. Miley Cyrus cheered on Pamela Anderson as Roxy Hart in Broadway’s Chicago wearing archive Galliano, Kim K supported her sister Khloe’s Good American brand and Lily McMenemy grabbed hoops wearing Gucci x adidas.
